Well, a Happy New Year to you all on this first news post of 2009.
So, at the start of the new year, here's what's happening in the C&C3 community:
- The 2008 Mod of the Year Awards have now begun. Head over to ModDB to vote for your favourite mod. Two of our own hosted mods - Only War 2 and Galaxy at War are both eligible for voting, so be sure to give them a look.
- C&C Renovatio have posted up another well-crafted blog update, as well as releasing some new screenshots.
- Tiberian Dawn have also posted up some new renders, and a blog update.
- Remember to download Kane's Wrath Patch 1.02 if you haven't already. Simply head to the EA Site to grab the EXE file, or just hit the Check for Updates option within the Kane's Wrath UI. The changelist for the patch can be seen in an earlier news post here.
That's it for this week. Hope you have a good start to 2009.

I hope you've all had a good Christmas. News is a bit late this week both due to the festivities and some little technical issues I've been having, but have no fear, I'm still here... unfortunately for you.
Right, over the Christmas week, the modding community has had the following developments:

- Red Zone Europe have a Christmas update showing off some new toys in the mod.
- Alternate Warfare have released a download that claims to restore the General Points system from C&C Generals and Zero Hour into C&C3.
- C&C Renovatio has posted up a rather well designed Christmas update.
- Asylum have posted up a couple of new screenshots.
And that's it for this week, and indeed for 2008. See you all in the new year.

» News Update - 081223
People of the Internet! Hear ye! Hear ye!
Have no fear! We've managed to fight off the mighty hordes of video-game insanities that has
been crashing into the walls of our fair fortress of spare time and modding hours!
The last 4 months have been mad on the amazing game release side.. or at least it has been for me as the mad gamer i am
(and probably most modders with me) so work has been basically standing still but I've started work on a Shrine (name not yet decided)
for the Imperial Guard which will act as their basic source of income.
Also Only War 2 is now basically a One man show starring me (come to think about it, that's really how it's been all along..)
not counting the coding that was done a couple months ago by Torn.
Still, there's something for you to see and drool over until the shrine is done and I get on to the 2d bits (commandbars and such)
that need doing, the first pictures are some images we never uploaded of the now properly working
firing effect for the Hellhound, second is the.. well.. pretty self explanatory some more civ props I did a
couple months ago, and lastly there's the Marauder Bomber which we will be using as a Special Power and civilian prop
(and eventually most likely as a controllable air unit).
Until next time, whenever that may be,
Emperor Protects.
Oh, and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Some more modding updates this week.
- Red Zone Europe is a total conversion mod that aims to convert C&C3 to a half modern combat, half sci-fi game. It features two factions, the Western Coalition, and the European Union Defense Force. Some renders and screenshots are up already, so be sure to check it out.
- Tiberium Essence have uploaded version 1.2 of their mod. It fixes some graphical issues in the mod, as well as making some balance adjustments.
- Sigma Invasion have posted up some new renders.
And that's it for this week. By the time my next news post comes around to grace your VDUs with its horror, Christmas will have come and gone.
Merry Christmas. ![]()

It seems my plea from last week wasn't answered. Same amount of updates this week.
- C&C3 Mutants Revenge have posted a unit profile on their Preacher Tank unit.
- Granatball has just released a new version. This mod completely revolutionises your C&C3 gameplay.
And that, unfortunately, is it.
With Christmas approaching, I guess the modding community has better things to do with their time. ![]()

In modding news this week:
- Tiberium Essence have released version 1.1 of their mod. Tiberium Essence aims to restore some of the long-lost features of past C&C games to C&C3. This version includes six new units, some new structures, and explosive blue tiberium.
Rather scarily, that seems to be the only item of news this week. Tune in next week when hopefully the community will have pity on me and be more productive. ![]()

Good evening, here's some more updates from the world of C&C3 modding.
- MidEast Crisis 2 have a major update showing a new map, a new Israel Defense Forces unit, a special unit found on the new map, and a screen of some new particle FX.
- Mutants Revenge have posted a question and answer post. Reading through it, expect to see a lot of new maps with this mod, as well as changes for all existing factions.
Unfortunately though, that's all I've got for you this week. If you want to get me to post anything about your mod in next week's update, drop me a PM here at Revora Forums containing either information you want me to post about, or a link to a recent post.

Not very much in the way of news this week.
- Alternate Warfare is a Cold War-themed mod, where it became somewhat... warm... Some renders you can check out there.
- C&C3 Mutants Revenge has a small news post on two new maps, as well as a bunch of screenshots.
That, unfortunately, is it. The community's been somewhat quiet recently.

Update:
A new version of Jonwil's SDK Extras toolset has been released. The new program in here is called "binview". This can be used to extract textures from inside C&C3 and Kane's Wrath's BIG files. All you need to do is extract three of the encrypted files (see link for details) and open binview to preview and extract the textures.
However, this program is limited by your RAM size. Smaller RAM = only smaller files can be opened.
Link - Here.

The new EA C&C site came online this week, click here if you're mildly interested.
- TradeMod is one of those mods that looks simple on the surface, but is actually more underneath. TradeMod enhances team play by enabling you to send assistance to your allies. This takes the form of Tiberium, units and defences. Several ingame screenshots are available, as well as a downloadable alpha version.
- Fuel Wars is a relatively new TC mod. Set in the year 2093, a war is being fought over the dwindling supplies of fossil fuels worldwide. It features two factions - the Liberation Army, and the Republic of Dragnov. One render screen is currenly available.
- Tiberium Wars Advanced (site - De, English users, see here) have a spotlight post on a new unit - the Nod Wraith Fighter.
- C&C3 Mutants Revenge (site - Pl, English users see here) is another TC mod attempting to bring a mutants faction into the game. So far, there is a screen of a rendered and skinned Hover MLRS.
That's it for this week. Until next time.
