If you were wondering about what was going on that the site tutorials, mods and downloads weren't showing up correctly in your browser, here's what happened. The update to PHP 5.3.0 deprecated some of the code that the Guild used in these sections. Fortunately, Bart and I fixed this issue today, so all articles are back.
The site has several tutorials for Red Alert 2, Command & Conquer 3 and even other C&C games. Check it out if you need to learn some coding or graphics tricks for these games. And also, we also welcome your own tutorials there. All you need to do is to login with your Revora username and password and post the tutorial there or make a section about your C&C mod.
And finally, if you are reading this news from our forums, we are also hosting mods for Red Alert 3 here, starting with RA3: Unleashed (which has a working site HERE). RA3: Unleashed is set after the events of Red Alert 3, actually, after a peace treat between the 3 factions. They join forces later and the soviets take control of them, but Future Tech isn't happy with this outcome and Yuriko Omega also gather their own army.
C&C3 fans might be appeased with the arrival of the Alternate Warfare, which brings Cold War to C&C3, with a very hot habanero pepper sauce and the awesome graphics from ravage. And, from Madin, the Tiberian History brings TD and TS units to C&C3. Have fun!

» CCCII: 10 Days Remaining!

Hello everyone. I'd just like to remind you that you have 10 Days remaining to finish your maps for the Cartographers' Call Competition. A quick overview of the rules for those of you whom are not familiar and or interested in entering.
1 - Only One map per entrant
2 - Any map entered by the creator must be larger than 85 x 85 otherwise their map will be marked as void and will not be judged in the competition.
3 - The entries must be completely new. No re-makes of maps, no copy and pasted terrain from any other maps.
4 - If you post any previews of your maps anywhere before the competition deadline, you will be disqualified and your map will be marked as void and will not be judged in the competition.
5 - Once submitted entries cannot be changed, so make sure you're happy with your map and it has no errors
6 - Entries must be submitted to Aro (Me) by the 15th of February (00:00GMT)
7 - Your map can be any theater, be it a RA2 theater or a YR theater. Lunar maps are accepted but will hurt your layout score.

» Community Mod Roundup
Looks like I'm becoming a very busy person these days. My social life is eating up most of my free time, helping Strike-Team with the QM Patch, Twisted Insurrection and of course my recent hiring as a Moderator and promoter of the CNCGuild, not to mention all the things I do for PPM, but as always, I'm still doing what I can for this community whenever I get the chance.
CNCGuild Mod Updates:
- SSTG has posted some updates over at the Dark Rising forums. This RA2 enhancement mod looks interesting and I'd suggest giving it a look at if you're interested in mods such as AG:SA.
- Allied General has posted some new Media and Miscellaneous Information for his semi-total conversion mod, AG:SA (Allied General's: Shattered Alliance). The new media features new voxels used in the mod along with new GUI made by myself, Starkku, OmegaBolt and others. Be sure to check out it, it's a blast online!
- Some old news not necessarily related to a mod. Mig Eater posted lots of new voxels up for download over at the CnCGuild's Voxels and SHP's section. Be sure to check them out, these high quality voxels can spice up the graphics of any mod.

PPM Mod Updates:
- Gangster has announced the rebirth of his mod Tiberian Sun: ReWire over at the Sandbox forums. There is no Mod called Sandbox, but the forum is home to many of Gangster's projects such as TS:ReWire and Red Alert II. Anyhow, ReWire is a total conversion mod turning Yuri's Revenge into Tiberian Sun with stunning graphics, so far it looks very promising with some excellent models made by both Gangster and DonutArnold.
- Reaperrr has anounced that he has decided to work on Return of the Dawn 2.8 again for the time being.
- I (Aro) have posted many new terrain images in the Twisted Insurrection forums. These new terrain pieces are remakes of old Twisted Insurrection terrain and a few before-and-after shots comparing TI's terrain to the Tiberian Sun terrain. Check it out in this thread.
I have also posted a thread asking you, the public to vote for what you'd like to see as Twisted Insurrection's third theater. Go to this thread to cast your vote and give an opinion.
- The Dawn of the Tiberium Age had a recent release (as previously posted here) which means more screenshots and media are popping up for people to view. Bittah Commander has announced progress on a new DTA patch which should be posted public some time soon, keep your eyes open.
- DaFool has posted some progress on the Red Alert 2 Allies for Invasion Confirmed, the Generals mod that features every Red Alert faction in history! Check out the Red Alert 2 Allies thread here. Hopefully we'll be seeing the rocketeers fully functioning soon.

» Mapping Competion: Cartographer's Call Competition II

I'm organizing another mapping contest for Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge called Cartographers Call Competition II (Obviously following after the original Cartographers Call Competition). This is entirely different from any Open Map Competition, especially by its rules.
First of all, only skirmish maps made from scratch and never revealed anywhere are accepted and terrain expansion maps are NOT allowed. The maps will be reviewed by 3 judges (Aro, Ixith, Dudeinabox). Mappers may only submit one map. Rules are the same as they were in the previous competition. For additional Information on the rules, judging and prizes go to this thread.
This contest does not have any symmetry restriction, which means that you may submit tournament looking maps. Each map can be rated up to 100 points, where they'll be distributed in the following way:
20 points for Detail
20 points for Layout
20 points for Lighting
20 points for Game play
20 points for Triggers.
You have until the 15th of Februrary to submit your map. Good luck and for more details, check the rules of the contest.
Please post comments in the competition thread!

» Top 100 Released and Upcoming Mods on ModDB!

Hello everyone! The ModDB Mod of the Year 2009 popularity contest has reached the second stage and now it's time to vote for the best mods from a list of 100 released mods and 100 unreleased mods. At CnC Guild, one mod has reached this stage: Contra. It's in the list of unreleased mods, despite the release of Contra 007 in august. At Petrolution, the Petroglyph games division from Revora, Sci-Fi at War has also advanced to this stage, so any votes for it is also appreciated. And from our partners that supported us in the first stage, PPM has two hosted mods which advanced as well, like Tiberium Essence and Twisted Insurrection (the first Tiberian Sun mod to ever reach this stage on any mod of the year event).
So, check the full list HERE and cast your vote to:
-> Contra (Upcoming -> Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour)
and the following mods from our partners:
Petrolution:
-> Sci-Fi at War (Upcoming -> Star Wars: Empire at War - Forces of Corruption)
Project Perfect Mod:
-> Tiberium Essence (Released -> Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars)
-> Twisted Insurrection (Upcoming -> Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun)
You can vote at all mods there if you want. So, if you run a site and want us to promote your mod here, inform us and we'll update this post with your mod as well, as long as your site also promotes Contra.
