» Generals: European Conflict UAN beta released!
m666
The Generals: European Conflict UAN beta has been released today! Posted below is the original news post, which can be found here!

Welcome back, Commander. It's been far too long. Thus echo the immortal words. It's been years in the planning, and today, finally, you will get a taste of what is to come, but not quite in the manner in which you would have envisaged - your enemies today are your own countrymen. Our base is under attack, not from any visible enemy, but instead, from hostile forces within our own faction. This could get nasty. We have established satellite feeds of the amassing hostile forces within our borders - they are moving, and they are moving in force. Early attempts to quell the rebellions were utterly annihilated - it would appear the enemy has complete access to our technology, and is not just some rag-tag band of rebels, but an army forming against us from within. The feeds below show early survelillance of a few key points of military importance - but the enemy is thick upon the ground and in the air.

If we are to survive this uprising, and continue our fight against the Americans and the Europeans, then we must quell this rebellion with the minimum of casualties. However, I fear this objective may not be achieved, as the enemy forces are numerous and their walls well-fortified. It's going to take more than a few tanks to sort this one out. There is no rest for the wicked Commander, so how about some action?

Twisted Insurrection: Public Beta 1 Has Been Released!
Twisted Insurrection: Tiberian Dawn - Nod Victory
The year is now 2019. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown. Welcome to the Twisted Insurrection commander.

Boomerang Python
And here it is! D-day, day of days, prepare for war (hopefully). Only War 2 should now be online and ready for downloading, click the image below to download.
The mod weighs in at 56.9 MB's in a winrar zip file. You will need to have Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars in order to run the mod. (Not compatible with Kane's Wrath)
To install the mod, go to your C:\Users\Boomerang Python\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\mods directory and create a folder and name it OnlyWar2, then you'll need to extract the files inside the .zip file into the folder you just created (a .big file and a .skudef file).
To launch the mod you simply start up your Command and Conquer 3 DVD auto-launcher and select 'Game Browser' then go to the tab 'Mods' and it should appear in that list, now select the mod and then press the 'Launch Game' button at the bottom.
The alpha 0.1 features:
1 1v1 Map (A bridge too short) 1 Faction (Imperial Guard) 4 Units (Imperial Guardsmen, Chimeras, Hellhounds and Basilisks) 4 Buildings (Departmento Munitorum, Shrine of the Ecclesiarchy, Armamentorum, Manufactorum) NO AI (So grab a buddy if you want to try it out)
Right, maybe I should explain how the economic side of the mod works, basically what you want to do is always make sure you construct a shrine as soon as you can, because these will generate resources (or 'faith') at a steady pace for you, and that's pretty much it. Easy really.
Also I'll repeat what I said in an earlier post; keep in mind that because it's only an alpha version it will be quite buggy and all kinds of glitchy. So if anyone does take it for a spin, remember to post everything you encounter in the bug report section of the forum: Bug Report
Good luck out there, Emperor Protects.

» Ares 0.1 Patch 1 Released
Aro
Renegade has posted a patch for Ares over at RenegadeProjects. This patch fixes a few errors with Ares for a more stable experience. Be aware that this is a patch not an update and according to what we know, no new logics are included. Additional features will come with Ares 0.2 so while we eagerly await for Ares 0.2, download this patch version for increased stability.
QUOTE ("Renegade") Over the past week, a critical memory management issue in Ares 0.1 transpired, which could potentially lead to crashes in all situations in which InfantryTypes which have ever been garrisoned are killed. Due to the high probability of such situations happening in normal games, we decided to release the fix(es) for this issue as a patch to the stable release. The patch has been live in the repositories since this morning, and many Launch Base users should already have been offered the new version. We have now updated the downloadable release packages for manual users. It is highly recommended that all Ares users update to P1 as soon as possible.Thank you for your continued support and trust in Ares. Official TopicDOWNLOAD ARES 0.1 P1

» Red Alert 3: Paradox Interview @ CnCWorld
Aro
CnCWorld have conducted an interview with Kerensky287, the lead coder for RA3 total conversion Red Alert 3: Paradox. The mod features an impressive 5 new factions as well as additional units for the existing factions. The campaign is set in the aftermath of Red Alert 3 the war-torn world is fractured and divided into numerous factions maintaining an uneasy ceasefire.
QUOTE CD : Please describe Red Alert 3: Paradox , what are the main goals of the mod? Kerensky287 : The main goals revolve around making the gameplay as varied as possible. We're more than tripling the number of units available in the game and tweaking the existing ones to try and make them more viable or less dominating. It's our hope that by the time we're done, you won't just have 3 or 4 "build orders" that you follow from the start of the game - there will be enough units and factions that no matter how you like to play, you will occasionally be able to succeed if you are smart enough, efficient enough, or... whatever your plan revolves around. » Galaxy at War Update - LAAT/i Republic Gunship
Master Windu
Hey all!
In addition to adding multiple renders of units such as the Jedi Plo Koon, animation shots of General Grievous, and our new Clone Trooper, we've been hard at work making our new forums look and feel like a good Star Wars forum should. Also, check out our Mod DB page here for lots more renders, videos, and screenshots!
Furthermore, we'd like to show you a render of the LAAT/i Gunship, which can be built by the Republic.
"The LAAT/i was a repulsorlift infantry transport capable of carrying up to thirty troopers. Secondary functions included reconnaissance, direct fire support, search-and-recovery, and low-altitude air-to-ground and air-to-air strikes against vehicles ranging from airspeeders to starfighters.
In addition to its trooper complement, housed on a deckplate protected by drooping wings and a sliding side door, the LAAT/i could carry four military speeder bikes in an aft-deployable rack. The crew complement comprised a clone trooper pilot and co-pilot/forward gunner in the hunchbacked cockpit, and two auxiliary gunners stationed in pinpoint composite-beam turrets extending on articulated arms from the troop cabin. An IM-6 Medical Droid was commonly carried aboard in an emergency locker. In the event of emergencies, the cockpit capsule could separate from the main craft to act as an escape pod."
